Obituary for Billy L Martin
Bill Lowell Martin, age 74 passed away after a long illness on March 28, 2017.
Bill was born on July 7, 1942 in Danese, West Virginia. He was employed by Asplundh Tree Company for 38 years when he retired in 2007. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved working in his yard.
Bill was preceded in death by his eldest son, Tommy in 2009 and four siblings, Frank Martin of West Virginia, Dale Martin of Smyrna, Delaware, Dallas Martin of North Carolina, and Patty Smith of West Virginia.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda; his loving son, Michael (45); his grandchildren, Billy Martin (25) and Kelly Bosler (27); his great grandchildren, the children of Kelly and AJ Bosler, Aeryn (7) and Declan (5); and his 5 siblings, Ann Walker of West Virginia, his twin sister, Betty Mull, Brenda Schlapfer of Bear, Delaware, Marilyn Miller of Bear, Delaware and Robert Martin of Virginia.
A special thanks to his nephew, Jimmy Martin of Maryland and niece, Shirley Martin of North Carolina.
We will forever carry Bill's memory in our hearts.
Services were private.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Bill's memory to Compassionate Care Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
