Obituary for Paige Kathleen Clemm
Paige Kathleen Clemm, age 24, of Newark, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 14, 2018.
Paige graduated from St. Matthew’s School in 2008, and from St. Mark’s High School in 2012. She played volleyball, basketball and softball for St. Matthew’s and basketball and volleyball during her time at St. Mark’s. Paige was also a national figure skating champion.
Paige worked at the Christiana Skating Rink between the ages of 15 to 18, before beginning her career as a certified medical assistant.
Paige loved fishing with her daddy, camping, the pool, going to the beach, bonfires and carving pumpkins with family and friends.
Paige was preceded in death by her father, Michael Clemm, her grandfather Richard Clemm; uncle Andrew Jordan; grandfather James Jordan Sr.; cousin Tyler Jordan; and grandmother Kathleen Jordan.
She is survived by her mother Andrea ‘’Angi’’ Clemm; her fiancé, Justin Smith; her daughter, Madison Smith; mother-in-law-to-be Rebecca Smith (Steve); her uncles James Jordan, Jr., and Bryan Jordan; her uncle and aunt Jeffrey and Kymberly Clemm; Aunt Shel (Dan) Straub; Aunt Debbie LaRue (Ken), Aunt Chrissy (Bret) Blanch; Aunt Tammy Butcofsky; grandmother Sharon Jordan; step grandmother Nancy Clemm; grandmother Linda ‘’Mom Mom’’ (Charles) Bungard; grandmother Mary Lou Lauryssens; cousins Tori, James, Eric, Jessica, Bret, Miranda, Dustin, Danielle, Brett, and Ben; and many other friends and family who loved her dearly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 25 at St. Matthew’s Church, 901 East Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Madison Paige
Smith Educational Fund, with checks payable to Andrea Clemm, c/o Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis St., Newport, DE 19804.
