Lucinda M. "Cindy" Draper

Wilmington - Cindy, age 58, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at her home, after a long battle with cancer.

Cindy was a life long resident of Delaware and attended H. C. Conrad High School. She worked for Crowell Corp. for 34 years until they closed. She then earned her certificate as a Certified Medical Assistant. In 2013 she retired to watch her beloved grandchildren until she became ill in 2016.

Cindy enjoyed bowling and was a league secretary for Stanton Suburban on Friday nights at Pleasant Hills Lanes. She also loved to travel with her family, especially cruising.

Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Marian I. Betancourt. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Ralph B. Draper; her children, Melinda Bundy (Jayson) and Blake Draper (Lindsay); her grandchildren, Jayminson and Addison Bundy; her sister, Joan Enslen (Bob); her brother, Bob Betancourt (Lisa) and her nephews, Bob Enslen Jr. (Sarah), Mike Enslen (Laura) and Gibson Betancourt. She also leaves behind her pets, Cricket and Tiger.

Cindy's family would like to thank the wonderful nurses at the Helen Graham Cancer Center, Miranda, Pam, Nicole and a special thanks to Brooke for their special care. Also, a special thanks to nurse Christine of Compassionate Care Hospice.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Friday, October 19 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, October 18. Burial will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
