Doug E. Walls

Wilmington - Doug, age 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

Doug is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his daughter Susan; son Stephen, and daughter-in-law Tina; brother Chuck, and sister-in-law Claudia; brother Skip, and sister-in-law Maria and their children: Joe and Stacy, along with her husband Matt and son Sam.

Born to parents Herman and Josephine, Doug was a lifelong resident of Wilmington. A gentle and loving soul with a fondness for all foods of his Italian-American mother, Doug was always ready to welcome others with a joke and copious amounts of home cooking. He will also be remembered as a fervent Green Bay Packers fan, avid train collector and member of the church choir. Strongly ingrained during his many years at Dupont he was always quick with a reminder to "Be Safe." His generosity and sense of humor will be sorely missed.

A memorial mass will be held at 10 am on Saturday, December 15 at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 905 New Road, Wilmington, DE 19805 where visitation will begin at 9 am. Burial will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.

Those who knew him will always carry Doug in their hearts.
