Monica Street, age 88, of Newark, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.
Monica was born and raised in Liverpool, England. She was a homemaker and worked at the Manufacturer Hanover Bank until she retired around 1990. Monica was a devoted catholic. She was an active former member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Monica was also a member of the Irish Culture Club of Delaware.
Monica was the last of 11 children. She is survived by her children, Theresa Fisher, Helen Street (Fred Wright), Pauline Day (Gregory), Brenda Burkhart (Mark) and Kevin Street; 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 9 at Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Rd, Newark, DE 19713. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contribtions in Monica’s memory may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Rd, Newark, DE 19713.
