Aida Colon-Padua, age 73, of Newark, formerly of San Sebastian P.R went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 3, 2020.
Aida was a foster mom for many years in New York. She was a former member of Iglesia Templo Sion in Brooklyn, NY. Aida enjoyed cooking, reading the bible, gardening and taking care of her plants.
Aida was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Colon, Francisco Colon, Pablo Colon, and Leonardo Colon.
Survivors include her husband of over 50 years, William Perez-Lopez; daughter, Evelyn Booker; sons, William Perez and Travis Perez, Alfredo Perez; 8 grandchildren; sister, Lucy Sotto; brothers, Gaberial Colon, Angel Colon, Domingo Colon, and Jose Colon.
Visitation will be 3 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2019 at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home where services will begin at 3:30 PM. Burial will be private.
