Age 79 of Wilmington, formerly of Richardson Park, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2011.
Alice was a corporate secretary at ICI for 34 years, retiring in 1991.She was a graduate of Conrad High School in 1950 and Beacom College. Alice was a very active member of Richardson Park United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Chancel Choir, United Methodist Women and Koinone Class. She volunteered at for Tilton Terrace, the Ronald McDonald Room, Mid County Senior Center and was an Ombudsman at the Franciscan Health Care Center.
Alice enjoyed helping others whenever needed. She enjoyed listening to soothing music and baking cookies. Most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1p.m., Thursday, June 2nd, at Richardson Park UMC, 11 N. Maryland Ave., where visitation will begin at 12noon. Visitation will also be from 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, June 1st, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, N. DuPont Hwy, New Castle.
