Altagracia “Mode” Paredes

Altagracia “Mode” Paredes, of New Castle, formerly of the Dominican Republic, went to rest with The Lord on Friday, January 24, 2020.

Mode was born and raise in the Dominican Republic. She worked as a Medical Assistant. Mode was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church where she was the head of the prayer group. She enjoyed listening to Christian music and helping her daughter at her hair salon, Glitzy and Glamour.

Mode was preceded in death by her sister, Facuda Paredes.

Survivors include her daughters, Jaslyn Malagon (Sergio) and Belkis Martinez; her grandchildren, Joseph and Joshua Malagon and Jafreisy and Jeralbel Valoy; her brother, Ramon Paredes; and her sisters, Franciso Parades, Sundilda Parades and Fautina Parades.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, January 31 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 12 noon. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expenses.
