Annette Lynn Tomasello was born in San Jose, California. She departed this earth on Monday, September 11, 2023, at age 88, to meet with her Divine Master and Beloved St. Francis. Together, to walk through the eternal garden of paradise amongst all the beautiful flowers and animals she so loved and cared for during her life.

Annette served proudly in the United States Marine Corps as an air traffic control officer. Her devotion to the Corps and the country was always exhibited. “Once a Marine, always a Marine” was her motto for life. Her higher education and degrees were attained both here on the East Coast and in California. She worked at the V.A. Hospital for over 25 years and was also affiliated with Temple. She assisted with all phases of dentistry which included the specialized field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

She had a passion for the elegant, gilded era of the Victorians. She decorated her beautiful home to reflect that love and spent much time visiting mansions of days gone by. Her decorating skills were exhibited at the Absalom Jones Senior Center where her floral arrangements and wreaths were enjoyed by all. She decorated the Christmas Tree for the “Festival of Trees” and winning first place many times for the center. She could frequently be found maintaining the beautiful garden at the center, planting and weeding.

Annette starred as the leading lady in many plays produced by the ABJ Drama League. She loved all facets of the theater. In addition, her interests were watching classic black and white movies, reading ancient history, and listening to the music from the 50’s and 60’s. She also enjoyed feeding every stray cat that passed her way, visits to the casino, and spirited card games with her best friend, Joan. She will be remembered for her classy style of dress, great sense of humor and gorgeous Victorian hats she designed and wore so elegantly.

She was enthralled with the magnificent beauty of Europe and traveled to numerous countries as well as vacations within the U.S. with her son, Doug. Annette is survived by her son Douglas Trinkaus, her daughter Sherrie Beckstead and 3 grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and friends.
