My Daddy Has Gone To Heaven
He left this world on Saturday, March 25, 2023 finally free of the cancer that had invaded his entire body. No more suffering ~ he's now at peace, with Our Lord, and reunited with his heavenly family.

My Daddy had a good life, he retired from Forbes Steel & Wire Comany and in his retirement worked for Pettinaro before finally retiring for the second time. He loved cooking hearty Italian Sunday dinners, especially his sought-after delicious Spicy Chicken Chili (which he was always receiving accolades and requests for take-outs... and with much encouragement he entered the Chili Contest and won "First Place" prize at Holy Family RC Church), he loved watching old western movies and everything cowboys, and watching Sunday sports, really LOUD, on the BIG TV screen !! He was content just relaxing and being with his extended blended family, because everyone who walked through the door was definitely considered family.

He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Joseph "Joe" and John; sisters, Phyllis Rossillo and Rosemarie "Abbey" Mombro; and nephew, Anthony Mombro.

He will be dearly missed by his loving daughter, Dana Marie Mombro and her mother, Janet DiEmedio Mombro; daughter from the heart, Niece Rosemarie Rossillo; and pop-pop's girls, Gabriella & Julianna Rossillo; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A special and most sincere heartfelt thank you to my dear cousin Rosemarie for her care, compassion, tremendous assistance and being there for me and my Mom throughout my Daddy's illness... Love You Sister of My Heart.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday - April 1st - Visitation starting at 1:00pm with Services at 2:00pm in Corpus Christi Church, 905 New Road, Elsmere, DE 19805. Burial will be priviate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christiana Care - Hospice & Palliative Care, 220 Continental Drive, Suite 407, Newark, DE 19713.
