Barbara Ann Chance, age 69, of Wilmington, joined her husband on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Christiana Hospital.
Barbara was a 1968 graduate of Wilmington High School. She worked at Blue Cross, Coventry Insurance and Wawa. Barbara was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and attended school there in her youth. She was a brownie troop leader at St. Matthews when her daughters attended school. Barbara loved to support her children in their sports and activities. She left her door open to help anyone.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Michael L. Chance in 2004 and her parents, Thomas and Edna.
Survivors include her children, Margaret Symonds, Michelle Porter (Erik) and Donald Chance; 10 grandchildren, Havanah, Michael, David, Thomas, Alexus, Erik Jr, Kiaira, Devynn, Elizabeth, and Donald Jr and 1 great grandson, Rowan.
Due to the COVID19 services and burial will be private and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
