Age 72 of Wilmington, passed away on Friday,
August 10, 2012.
Barbara retired from the Canteen Co. where she worked in food service at the Delaware City Refinery in Delaware City and the DuPont Co.in Wilmington. She was a member of the Newark Moose Lodge and the VFW. Barbara enjoyed shuffleboard, bowling, bingo and playing Rook.
Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Collins in 1997;her husband of 22 years, John L. Dear in 2004; her brother Earl Cosner and her sister, Lillian Riedel. Survivors include her son, Harry Collins, Jr; her brothers, Howard Cosner(Betsy) and Billy Cosner; her sisters, Maryetta Lloyd and Debbie Perdue; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Cosner;her grandchildren, Christina Collins, Mattie Sweeney, Harry Collins, III, Josh Marks and Keith Rodriquez; and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 12 noon, Tuesday, August 14th, at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.
