Age 82, of Claymont passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 after battling throat cancer.
"Gran" was a Marine serving in the Korean War. He retired from Brandywine High School after many years of service.
Gran's family meant the world to him, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his son, Louis Halter; his granddaughters, Roseann Barr and Charlene Halter; his great grandchildren, Arianna, David and Savanna; and his sister, Imogene Delp.
Funeral services were held privately.
The family suggests contributions in Gran's memory to Compassionate Care Hospice, 702B Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805.
