Bernard Martin Kwiatkowski, Jr., age 76, of Hartford County, Maryland, formerly of Highland Town and Canton, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Bernie worked as a sheet metal worker at Bethlehem Steel for many years. He also worked as a meat cuter at Pantry Pride grocery store and at Susquehanna Concrete Company.
Bernie had a passion for cars. He loved race cars and especially loved watching the racing at the Cecil County Dragway. Bernie also enjoyed collecting coins, fishing, camping, gardening, and anything space or Sci-Fi related.
Bernie is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Mary “Sue” Ash Kwiatkowski, who passed in 2015; his brothers, Vernon, Michael and Patrick; and his sister, Joan.
Survivors include his children, Beth Ann Kwiatkowski (William Dixon), Edward Kwiatkowski, Susie Paris (Bob), Terrence Rhudy Jr. (Angela), Steve Rhudy (Dana) and Timothy Rhudy (Audra); brothers, Richard Kwiatkowski (Barbara) and Melvin Kwiatkowski (Becky); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Noon on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Nichols – Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Elkton Cemetery, Elkton, MD 21921
