Betty went peacefully with a smile on her face to be with the Lord on Tuesday June 30, 2015.
Betty worked as an accountant for Delmarva Power and Light for 32 years before retiring in 1991. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church where she was a past Deacon. She enjoyed volunteering for Richardson Park's Community Action Program and the Newark Senior Center.
She lived life happy and to the fullest. Her unique laugh made everyone join in on the fun. She enjoyed vacationing, cooking, playing cards and reading.
Betty will be dearly missed, but will continue to bring a big smile in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is predeceased by her cherished husband, Henry and her card playing sister in law, Phyllis Musser.
Betty is survived by her loving daughter, Kim Harris-Wilson; her devoted son in law, Dave; her beloved brother, Lewis "Buck" Musser, many much loved nieces and nephews, their children and lots of wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Richardson Park Community Action Program, 107 S. Maryland Avenue, Wilmington, DE; the Newark Senior Center, 200 Whitechapel Dr, Newark, DE; and Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Dr, Wilmington, DE
A celebration of Betty's life will be held at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 701 S Maryland Ave, Wilmington, DE on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 4PM where friends may visit starting at 3:30 PM. Burial will be private.
