Betty A Jenkins, age 90, of New Castle, formerly of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.
Betty had a masters degree in Education. She graduated from Allen University in 1949. Her favorite day of the year was New Year's Day. Betty loved to cook and travel. She especially enjoyed working with kids, especially her great nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Leon Jenkins and Ronald Jenkins and her sister, Louistine Howard.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Best; her nephew and caretaker, Eric Best; nephew, Leon Jenkins; nieces, Cassie Jenkins and Terri Jenkins her godchild, Charmaine Frisby; and her caretaker, Magaly Martinez.
Services and burial will be private.
