Age 83, passed on January 28, 2012 after a very brief battle with cancer. She was comforted by her family and faithful companion "Suzie".
Betty was born in Mt. Rainier, MD where she resided until she married her late husband, Don A. Law, Sr. They moved to Wilmington, DE in 1950 where they raised eight children. Betty also worked as a Medical Secretary at the Veterans Administration Hospital. She was active in Veterans & Government Affairs and served as the business agent for Local 1154, International Labor Union, Betty retired in 1994 after 25 years of dedicated service. She was also a member of Corpus Christi Church for many years. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother , great grandmother, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a love of music, dancing, movies and visiting her family in Baltimore. Those that knew her best knew her as "Betty Jean", "Mom-Mom" or "Aunt Betty". She will be deeply missed.
Betty was the daughter of the late Elbie W. and Catherine Edwards Foltz. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Don A. Law, Sr. Survivors include her children, Donna Burg of Wilmington, DE; Carol LeVasseur of Lewes, DE; Linda Gorman of Lexington, VA; Kathryn Holmes of Buckeye, AZ; Loretta Viner of St.Georges, DE; Holly Morgan of Hockessin, DE; Don A. Law, Jr. of Wilmington, DE; and Leo T. Law of Rising Sun, MD; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Burial will be Wednesday, February 1st at 1:00pm at Silverbrook Cemetery, Lancaster Pike & Dupont Rd., Wilmington.
