Age 72, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 with her family and friends by her side.
Beverly was a 1958 graduate of Conrad High School, a graduate of Goldey-Beacom College and
co-founded Slicer's Camping Trailers with her husband Curt in 1968. She was a Charter member of Limestone Presbyterian Church and later was a very active member of Peniel United Methodist Church.
Beverly enjoyed being at her beach house, boating, fishing, traveling, camping, shopping, sewing, knitting and most of all loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Beverly was preceded in death by her father, Luther Bicknell and her granddaughter, Michelle Slicer. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, L. Curtis Slicer, Jr., children, Leigh Slicer (Vito Hughes), David (Michelle) and Christopher (Martine); her mother, Marion Simmons; her sister, Roberta Van Pelt (Henry); and her grandchildren, Colin, Mikala, Ian, Hannah, Kayley, Brynn and Tallin.
Funeral Services will be at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 5 at PENIEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 115 E. Market St., Newport where visitation will be from 10 to 11:45 am. Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery, Lancaster Ave., Wilmington.
