It is with great sadness that the family of Carl Edward Nelson announce his passing, on Friday, January 29, 2016, at the age of 54 years old.
Carl was living in Galena, Maryland and is survived by his two daughters, Andrea & Katie Nelson, and his siblings Patricia Stombaugh, Allen Nelson Jr. (Margaret), Jeanne Ambagais, Norma Vied (Phil), and Ronald Nelson (Judy), and his many nieces & nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Mary Nelson and his sister, Diane Stutzman.
Even though Carl was plagued with rheumatoid arthritis a majority of his life, he was no stranger to hard work. He was hard-headed, stubborn, and sarcastic but he was always ready to help a friend or work on a project. Carl can now rest in peace as he is reunited with lost family in heaven.
A memorial service will be held from 6-8PM on Friday, February 5, 2016, at Citizens Hose Company No. 1, 103 West Commerce Street, Smyrna, DE 19977 for family and friends to pay their respects.
