Carol Moon, age 71, passed away at her home in Newport, DE on Sunday, April 24th, 2022. Throughout her life she brought joy to those around her with a generous and loving spirit. She married Robert Moon on March 1st, 1969. With him she had her three children, Shannon, Bryan and Cliff.
Carol loved to bake, sew, and especially sing. She loved sharing her gift of voice with others, often singing at the VA hospital on Sundays. With a heart full of generosity and song, Carol was able to make friends anywhere and at any time; she’d often joke that she’d adopted a new son or daughter when making a friend. Carol was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband, sister, 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 7 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial will be private.
