Carolyn A. Vansant, age 62, of Bear, formerly of Stanton, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Carol attended John Dickinson High School and was a member at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. She worked at Mary’s Kountry Kitchen, where she met her husband, Gene.
Carol loved to camp, go fishing, and take cruises. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her kids and grandkids.
Carol is preceded in death by her sons, Justin Michael Todd and Christopher Vansant; parents, Colleen and Roy Ayers; niece, Jessica Johnson; nephew, Danny Paoli; and granddaughter, Airyonna.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Gene Vansant; children, Stephanie Slopey (Kurt), Gino Vansant (Jennifer), Anthony Vansant (Diane), Joseph Stofa, Rhiana Todd (Matt) and Cody Todd; sisters, Lynn Dill (Rusty) and Diana Ginder; grandchildren, Ryan, Brittany, Stosh, Alyssa and Aeva (and their mother Nicki), Angelo, Gabriella, Shane, Ashley, Ryan and Andrew; 5 great grandchildren including soon to be born, Noah; and other extended family.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 345 Bear Christiana Road Bear, DE 19701, where visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington, DE 19808.
