Age 94, of Newark, DE, formerly of Christiana, passed away on, February 26, 2009.
Cid was born and raised in Newport where he was mayor in the 1960's. He was the owner of Justis Brothers Appliances in Newport and the A-OK Campground in Bear for many years. Cid was an active member of Christiana Presbyterian Church and an amateur radio operator (W3QQ).
Cid was predeceased by his son, Frederick. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Rachel; his son, Roderick of Newark; a brother, Robert C. of Boulder, CO; 2 grandchildren and 3 nephews.
A memorial service will be 11am, Thursday, March 5th, at the Christiana Presbyterian Church.
