Charles W. Davis age 59 of Newark, Delaware passed away on October 9th, amongst the loving arms of his family.
Charlie as he was known was born on April 11, 1957 with severe Down Syndrome. He was a happy and loving soul with prettiest blue eyes that would melt your soul. He loved everyone and would greet anyone with a hug and a nickname that would follow you forever. He participated with the Special Olympics Bowling Team, attended Easter Seals and briefly worked at Roy Rodgers.
In 1988, Charlie moved in with his brother Jim and family after the death of his mother, where he enjoyed coloring, doing many difficult puzzles, eating Tasty Cakes and drinking coke soda. He loved to go to his favorite restaurant, McDonald’s. Charlie loved super heroes and helping around the house especially making coffee. He played his guitar and sang “Let Me Call You Sweetheart”. His birthday was a very special day to him; as everyday was his birthday.
Special care was given by his sister-in-law, Karin Rook who took care of him as a promise to his mother and ensured he would be happy and well cared for. The Rook family was not complete without Charlie.
Along with the Rook family, Charlie is survived by his two sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Charlie will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Services will be private.
