Charlie passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017.
Charlie was a WW II Army veteran, serving in Europe. He retired from the DuPont Experimental Station in 1982 after 37 years as a Technologist. Charlie joined Peniel United Methodist Church in 1954 where he was an active member as a Boy Scout Leader and as part of the Methodist Men. He was a member of the Odd Fellows, Eden Lodge since 1940. Charlie enjoyed hiking and photography.
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Olive, in 2005; his son, Charles W. Firth, Jr.; his sister, Dora Alexander and his brother, LeRoy Barrett. He is survived by his daughters, LuAnn Firth and Karen E. Firth.
Funeral Services will be 12 Noon on Thursday, January 19 at PENIEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 115 E. Market Street, Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery.
