Charles, age 67 was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 30, 2015. He retired after 22 years of service in maintenance at Luther Towers.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Thelma Grubb in 2005. Survivors include his best friend and wife, Naomi; his sister, Diane Briggs and husband Russell; his stepdaughter and loving friend, Brenda and Kevin with whom he resided; his sons, Charles Grubb IV and Chris and his wife Diane; several grandchildren and other loving family.
Funeral Services with military honors will be at 3:00 pm on Friday May 8 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport where visitation will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions to the American Cancer Society , 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
