Age 86, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2007.

Charles was a WWII veteran and member of Local 19.
He was a sheetmetal worker for 41 years before retiring in 1983 from I.D. Griffith Co. as a general foreman. Charles was considered a mentor at work and described by a former co-worker as a "good, honest, hardworking family man." He was devoted to his wife Emma and his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great granddaughter and his toy poodle "Minnie."

Charles is survived by his wife, of 61 years, Emma of Wilmingon; his children, Albert of Avondale, PA; Henry of Nottingham, PA; Sandra O'Neal of NC; and Patty Steen of Middletown, DE; his brothers, Francis of MA and Reverend Richard Staszesky of Hockessin, DE; one sister, Ruth Staszesky of Wilmington, DE; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, December 6, 2007, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will being at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.

The family suggests contributions in Charles' memory to the Ronald McDonald House, 1901 Rockland Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803.
