Clarence Brown

Age 51, of Newark, DE, formerly of Dunlieth, passed away at home in the presence of his loving family on, Saturday, May 2, 2009.

Clarence was a 1976 graduate of DeLaWarr High School, worked as a Security Specialist at the Wilmington Trust Co. for 10 years, and was also a truck driver for Perma-Flex Rollers of Newark. He was affiliated with the Heritage Baptist Church in Glasgow, was devoted to his family, enjoyed fishing and was an avid Eagles fan.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Emma, and his grandparents.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Mary Ann Mahan-Brown; children, Monique Price, Chanel Haman, Julian Campbell, Michael Mahan, James Mahan, Julius Brown; sisters Willie Ann Ford, Tanya "Tangie" Morrison, Veronica "Tammy" Brown & Tracey Brown; brothers, Edward Ahmad & Donnell Morrison; and 6 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, May 9th, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport where visitation will begin at 8:30 am. Interment will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery, Lancaster Ave.& Dupont Rd., Wilmington.
