Claudette passed peacefully at Christiana Hospital, Wednesday, April 13, 2011, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Claudette loved cooking for family, going to Delaware Park and eating her Lays potato chips.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marguerite and sister Diane Hicks. Survivors include her husband, Edward Chance; children, Allen, John, Robert, Robin and Deborah; a sister, Leslie and husband Dave McGonigle; sister-in-law, Frances Monbrod; 11 grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Casey, April, Amber, Dylan, Claudia, Jamie, Antonio,
Joshua, and Gabrielle; 1 great grandchild, Destiny; 2 stepchildren, Alvin and Pamela; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held privately.
Special thanks to Christiana Hospital staff for their loving care and her special family at Churchmans Village where she felt it was her second home.
