Cleta Isabelle Clark Hardy, age 84, of Wilmington, formerly of New London, PA, went to sleep with Jesus on Saturday, July 8, 2017 waiting for The Resurrection. She was in the presence of her loving husband Oscar E. Hardy, 86, and her 6 children.
Cleta was a devoted wife first and foremost, a devoted Seventh-Day-Adventist, and an incredibly loving mother always. She enjoyed art and writing books for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Sarah Clark; her brothers, Donald, Richard, Kenneth and Jazz Clark; her sisters, Jean Wardle, Patricia Johnson and her son-in-law Terrace Warrington.
She is survived by her husband Oscar of sixty six years; her sisters-in-law, Lee Clark of Florida and Erma Clark of Elkton, MD; her daughter Holly Sorrentino and her husband Mike and her children Tom and Cherish; her daughter Rebecca Hardy and her three children Jenny, Artie and Sarah; her daughter Loretta Sutton and her husband Jeff and her children Russell, Justin, Travis, Daniel, Autumn and Sam; her daughter Donna and her two children Kyle and Willie; her son Donald and his three children Donnie, Jeffrey and Nicole; and her son David Hardy and his wife Melinda and 34 great grandchildren
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 13 at 2:00PM at West Wilmington Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3003 Millcreek Rd * Wilmington, DE 19808 * 302-998-3961. Burial will be private.
