Age 78 of Dover, formerly of Middletown, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in the presence of his loving wife and daughters.
Cliff was raised in Elsmere, the son of the late Samuel and Kathryn Biddle. He worked for 23 years at Delmarva Powder until retiring in 1991. Cliff was very active member of both Bethesda United Methodist Church and Christiana United Methodist Church. He loved boating, fishing and camping in Virginia with his family.
Cliff was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne; his sister Joan Williamson; and a step sister Dorothy Gallion. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Forsythe Biddle; his daughters, Della Marie Alexander (Dean) and Jennifer L. Watson (Michael); 9 grandchildren, Andrew, Hope, Reed, Andy, Samantha, Casey, Noah, Cassidy and Abigail who were the light of his life; his sisters, Joyce Rossiter and Kathy Biddle; sister-in-law, Oda Biddle and brother and sister-in-law, William and Fran Vassalotti; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful people at Delaware Hospice who helped care for Cliff.
Funeral services will be 11am, Saturday, February 11th at Daniels & Hutchinson Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial will follow in Old Drawyers Cemetery, Odessa, DE.
The family suggests contributions in Cliff's memory to the Delaware Hospice House, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
