Age 83, of New Castle, went to join her husband on Christmas Day, 2011.
Coleta, who was a homemaker, was a member of the New Castle Moose Lodge, was a former member of Asbury UMC and formerly attended Minquadale UMC. She enjoyed sewing, reading and baking. Coleta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and daughter.
Coleta was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harry E. "Slim" Ewell, Sr. in 1997;her mother, Elda;her sister, Evelyn;and her brothers, Lawrence, John and Alvin. Survivors include her children, Carolyn Ann Esterling and husband Bill, Linda M. Noble and Harry Ewell, Jr; brothers & sisters, Oscar, Orval, Elda, Ethel, Theresa, Joe and Zena; her grandchildren, Billy, Pam, Frank, Michael, Joe, Erik, Lester, Jaimeand John; and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, December 30th at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, N.DuPont Pky, New Castle.
The family suggests contributions in Cloeta's memory to the Susan G. Koman for the cure, Att. Donor Services, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX, 75265-0309.
