Daniel P. “Chappy” Chapman, age 44, of Bear, formerly of Delaware City, suddenly passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.
Chappy formally worked at Mike Miklus Company for several years. He was very outgoing, he “never met a stranger”. He loved the beach, dogs and kids. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his daughter.
Chappy was preceded in death by his father, Warren Chapman and his step-brother, Vaughn Watson, Jr.
Survivors include his daughter, Kayla Chapman; his mother, Janice Watson (Vaughn); his sister, Tammy Mackie (James, Jr.); his brother, Warren Howard Chapman, III; his step sister, Laura Geedy (Steve); other extended family and his girlfriend, Kristi Bradley and her son, C.J. Bradley.
A Celebration of Life for Chappy will be held at 7:30pm on Friday, July 7 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 East Justis Street, Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 6:00 pm. Burial will be private.
