Daniel Tequianes-Vergara, age 38, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday April 5,2020
Formerly of Oxford, PA, Dan moved to Delaware in his teens and graduated from McKean High School in 2000.
In 2001 Dan met the love of his life and thus began a life of many misadventures, because nothing with Dan was ever easy.
Dan was a hard worker and worked many places over the years, and wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty. He was a craftsmen by trade; working at Tile Market, Bath Tile and Kitchens, and McGrory Granite, where he perfected his skill as a fabricator. More recently he was promoted to key holder at the Goodwill on Kirkwood Highway. Dan was proud of whatever work he did and always gave it his all.
Dan was a kind and humble man with a huge heart and an even bigger smile, always thinking of others. He enjoyed being silly whenever he could. He was passionate about working out, bicycles, and collecting things that made him happy; and loved his animals more than anything.
Dan is preceded in death by his older brother Mario Tequianes-Vergara in 2013.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Janine Tequianes; his mother, Ignacia Vergara-Bernal; his sister, Maria C. Perez (Daniel Perez); his brothers Gary Monroy (Lisandra Santiago) and Alfredo Vergara; his nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family; his mother-in-law, Valerie Ward; his brother-in-law, Zachary Ward; and his beloved furbabies, Peanut and Ella; and fish.
Due to the Covid virus, services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the funeral home would be appreciated to assist with funeral expenses.
