Age 54, of New Castle, DE, passed away in the presence of her loving family at her home,
Monday, November 26, 2007.
Debbie worked at the Golden Dove for the past 12 years.She was a longtime scorekeeper at many area softball leagues.She was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and loved to travel especially to Rehoboth Beach and Disney World.She enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting and attending craft shows. Most of all she was a devoted wife, mother & mommom.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, George T. Gilbert, Jr. in 2006. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Robert E. Smith; her daughters, Andria Pritt & her husband Kevin and Stacey Davis and Robin Smith, all of New Castle, DE; her son, Mark Smith & his wife AnneMarie of New Castle, DE; mother, Shirley V. Gilbert of New Castle, DE; sisters, Cheryl Vansant & her husband Joe of Hockessin, DE; Vicki Dorsey & her husband Bill of Wilmington, DE;and Dawn Ciancaglini & her husband Bobby of Annapolis, MD; and her grandchildren, Allison, Brock, Trevor, Ben and Chris.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, November 30, 2007 at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E.Justis St., Newport, DE where visitation will begin at
10 a.m. The burial will be private.
The family suggests contributions in Debbie's memory to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Rd., Wilmington, DE 19810.
