Denis passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 3, 2016.
Denis, of the New Castle, born and raised in the Little Italy section of Wilmington, worked as a site manager at several condo locations. Denis and his deck were synonymous, and all were welcome. There was no better time than hanging out with Denis and Lisa and numerous friends, eating bubba burgers, all while 70’s music (classic rock) played in the background. He was usually quiet when on the deck, but you had to keep up because he usually came up with something truly funny. Denis also enjoyed fishing on the beach, and was a craftsman with woodwork. He took great pride in making his home, his castle. He was also active in St. Anthony's club.
He was predeceased by his parents Irvin C. Sr. and Lucy A. (Della Fera), and his brother Irvin C. (Chucky) Jr. He is survived by his wife of 24 yrs,, Lisa White (nee Jannuzzio); daughters Tiffany, Melissa (Ashley) and Jessi, and grandson Robbie, brothers Richard A. (Joanne) and Ronald A., sister Angela Burns (Mark), and numerous nephews, nieces and in-laws.
He was a wonderful family man and is beloved by many.
Funeral Services will be at 1 PM on Tuesday, June 7 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis Street, Newport, where visitation will begin at 11 AM. Burial will be private.
Due to the unexpected hardship, the family would be greatly thankful for any contributions in memory of Denis to go to a Go Fund Me account, or directly to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expenses.
