Diane Sue Berg (Frace), aged 54, passed away on September 1, 2024. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, Diane was known for her infectious smile and the significant impact she had on everyone she met. Diane was one of the strongest people in this world, from losing her father at a very young age, her brothers and mother far too soon, and her own battles in which she remained positive and high spirited until the end.
Diane was a creative soul, passionately engaged in various crafts, from painting and cross stitching to designing and using her cricut. She had an extraordinary talent for personalizing anything, from designing shirts and tumblers to crafting exquisite decor for birthday parties, fundraisers, to any special event including her daughter's wedding. Her artistic touch brought beauty and joy to her family and friends.
Diane is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Guy Berg; their children, Guy Eric Berg and Rachael Berg (Richard), brother in law Jeffrey Smith; and left a lasting legacy of love and creativity. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and William Frace, aunts Alberta Cook and Norma Johnson, and her brothers, Al Ingram, George Ingram, and John "Larry" Frace. Diane was loved by every single person who met her, and she became a bonus mom to a lot of amazing women who she loved dearly.
Services to honor and celebrate her life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 7 at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, located at 212 East Justis Street, Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial will follow at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery in Newark.
