Mr. Donald H. Willhite, age 88, of Jupiter, FL, formerly of Newark, DE, died on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
Mr. Willhite was born in Los Angeles, CA, the son of the late Hurshel Willhite and Etta (Morrow) Willhite. Mr. Willhite was a CPA who served as the VP and Comptroller for Atlantic Aviation for 35 years. He also served as the Treasurer and a Deacon at First Baptist Church of New Castle. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and golf.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley (Kroeplin) Willhite of Jupiter, FL; daughter Debra (Willhite) Shippy of Jupiter, FL; son Mark Willhite and his wife Catherine (Curran) Willhite of Newark, DE; son David Willhite of Okemos, MI; daughter Michelle (Willhite) Robinson of Rising Sun, MD; and 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of New Castle, 901 E. Basin Road, New Castle, DE followed by the funeral service at 11 AM. Interment will be at the Delaware Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Bear, DE.
