Donna Scharlach, age 90, formerly of Buffalo, NY, passed away on March 20, 2022.
Donna graduated from Stella Niagara Normal Elementary school and The Nardin Academy in Buffalo, where she was active in theater. She then attended Massachusetts Eye and Ear Hospital for Training. Donna worked at the Wettlaufer Eye Clinic for Children where her passion was helping children see better. She also later worked at General Nutrition Centers (GNC) and was an active volunteer at Christiana Hospital Patient Relations.
Donna was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, she loved flowers and flower arranging, needlework, and trivia.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Scharlach in 2006; her brother, Ronald and her parents.
Donna is survived by her son, David Scharlach (Pam); daughter Julie Rickerman (David); granddaughter, Claire Rickerman and sisters, Patricia Mazzarella (Richard) and Mary Beth Kelly.
Committal Services will be at 11 am on Friday, April 8 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear, DE 19701.
