Dora passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2015.
Dora was the daughter of the late Ethel M. (Sanderson) and Benjamin F. Barrett. She was a member of the DAR and enjoyed genealogy.
Besides her parents, Dora was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 39 years, James M. Alexander in 1983; her step father, Walter H. Firth; her brother, Leroy T. Barrett; 4 nephews and 2 nieces. She is survived by her brother, Charles W. Firth, Sr.; her niece, Karen E. Firth who took care of her; 3 nephews; 3 nieces and several great nephews and nieces.
Burial will be private and a memorial service will be held in late spring.
In lieu of flowers Dora’s family would appreciate contributions to Peniel United Methodist Church, 115 E. Market St., Newport, DE 19804.
