Doris R. Stiner

Doris passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. She was raised in Great Neck, NY and was a graduate of Pratt Institute of Art.
Doris who was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Earl, and playing golf and duplicate bridge. She was an Artist, working in newsprint, magazine and later at H. B. DuPont Middle School. Doris, until her later years was a long time member of Holy Angels Church, where among other activities sang in the choir.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Earl W. Stiner in 2011; and by her parents, Robert and May Rennert and her sister, Eleanor Carlson. She is survived by her children, Bruce Stiner, Dr. Mary Stiner and her husband Dr. Steven Kuhn and Jean Mullin; her grandchildren, Sarah Minotti and her husband, Matt and John "Jack" Mullin and her great granddaughter, Georgia Minotti.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM on Saturday, March 25 at St. Matthews Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 10 AM. Burial will be private.
The family would like to thank the staff's of BAYADA Home Health Care, Sunrise Assisted Living and Vitas Hospice for their unconditional compassion and kindness in caring for Doris.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions in Doris' memory to Vitas Hospice, 100 Commerce Drive, Suite 302, Newark, DE 19713.
