Age 88, passed away at her home on, Tuesday, June 19, 2007.
Mrs. Drews was born in Orange, VA on January 14, 1919, the daughter of the late Thomas L. and A. Arline Atkinson Smith. Her family moved to Delaware in 1935.
Dorothy worked as a licensed Practical Nurse at the Wilmington General Hospital for 21 years, retiring in 1982. Her first husband, John C. Golt, Jr. passed away in 1975 and her second husband, William A. Drews in 1997. She was preceaded in death by her son, John C. Golt, III, and her brother, Harry A. Smith.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Arline G.Docherty; grandson, David Docherty and his wife, Mary, referred to by Dorothy as her favorite "granddaughter-in-law"; grandsons, Anthony J. and William A. Golt, of Great Falls, Montana;and 2 great grandsons, David and John G. Docherty.
A private Christian burial was held.
