Age 81, of Lewes, DE, formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011.
Dot was the daughter of the late John and Mary Czurley. She retired from the Delaware Turnpike in 1983 where she worked as a toll taker for about 10 years. Previously she was a Tupperware dealer in the Wilmington area. Dot who was a member of St. Matthews Church, was a 1948 graduate of Wilmington High School. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and relaxing at the beach.
Dot was preceded in death by her first husband, Anthony A. Katrowski in 1965, her brothers, Walt and John Czurley; and her sisters, Helen Sarnocinski and Mary Clementoni. Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Ed Legenski, Sr.;her son's and daughter's-in-law, Anthony Katrowski(Anne Marie)and Martin Katrowski(JoAnne); her stepchildren, Ed Jr., Barbara, Trisha, Stephen and Vicky; her grandchildren, Tony (Roslyn), Lisa, Jonathan and David Katrowski; and her great grandchildren, Lindsey and Rory Katrowski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Saturday, January 15th at St.Matthews Church, Maryland and Curtis Ave's., Woodcrest, where visitation will begin at 9:30am. Burial will be at Cathedral Cemetery, Lancaster Ave., Wilmington.
The family suggests contributions in Dot's memory to the American Lung Association, 630 Churchman's Road, Newark, DE 19702.
