E-Lorraine "Reene" Gropp
Frederick, MD, formerly of Hockessin, DE - Reene, age 85, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018.
Reene was a Rural Letter Carrier out of the Hockessin Post Office and a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association for 30 years. She was the first female State Steward in the Nation. Reene was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church.
Reene is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clifford L. Gropp; her son, Douglas Gropp (Patti); her daughters, LeeAnn Shinaberry (Gene) and Tara Pellet; her grandchildren, Jacqueline, William and Alexander; her great granddaughter, Saphira; her sisters, Stumpy Moore and Patty Ann Shields and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Saturday, January 20 at St. James Episcopal Church, 2 S. Augustine Street, Newport, DE 19804.
