Age 63, of Wilmington, died on Monday, August 15, 2011 at his home.
Earl was the son of the late Edward and Jean Carter.
After serving his country in the Army during the Vietnam conflict, he worked as an auto mechanic in the city of Wilmington. Earl spent much of his life on the greens of Rock Manor Golf Course where he was an avid golfer and employee before retiring due to illness.
He is survived by his children, Donna J. Carter-Mariscal and her 2 children, Antonio and Benicio Mariscal-Carter;Earl S Carter, Jr. and his son, Earl S. Carter, III; and Tracy L. Richards and her 2 children, Mariana and Robert Richards; as well as 8 brothers, 2 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, August 23rd at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 1 pm. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Earl's memory to the funeral home to assist with the expenses.
