Edna passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016.
She was the daughter to the late Martha (Wright) Townsend Begley and Martin Townsend.
Edna enjoyed cooking, crocheting, going to Delaware Park, fishing, crabbing, and bingo. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edna was a loving and very caring person. She will be remembered for all of her kindness, loving heart and great sense of humor that would light up any room with her pranks and jokes.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James A. Deputy, Sr. in 1998 and son, James A. Deputy, Jr. in 2014.
Edna is survived by daughters, Edna Caudill (Kenneth), Jacquiline Maykut (Michael), and Patti Atkins; sons, Ronald Deputy (Luci) and Roy Deputy; 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 11 AM on Saturday, April 9 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis Street, Newport, where visitation will begin at 10 AM. Burial will be private.
