Edward W. "Big Ed" Hill, Sr., age 48, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010.
Ed was a chemical technician with Glaxo Smith Kline for 20 years and was a member of Red Lion United Methodist Church.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Evander B. Hill. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Vickie; his son, Edward Hill, Jr.; his daughter Angela Lynn Hill; his granddaughter, Azlynn Victoria; his sisters, Brenda Lemke and Connie Hill; his brothers Michael Hill and Evander McMillian; his mother, Corina LaPointe; many loving nieces and nephews and his dog "Whizzy".
Funeral services will be 1 pm on Tuesday, September 7 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport where visitation will begin at 12 noon. Interment will be private.
The family suggests contributions to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expenses.
