Age 67, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2009 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Edd was born, November 30, 1941 in Elkton, MD. He was a 1960 graduate of Henry C.Conrad High School and proudly served in the US Air Force for 4 years. He retired from the DuPont Experimental Station, in 2001, after 36 years of service.
Edd enjoyed bicycling, poker, horse racing and spending time with family & friends. He had a great sense of humor and everyone who knew him will remember him for his great generosity and spirit. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.
Edd was preceded in death by his beloved son, Eddie Holler; his father, Edward R. Holler, Sr; and his sister, Barbara Edwards. Survivors include his loving wife, of 42 years, Gerry Holler; his daughter, Wendy Mullin & her husband Greg; his mother, Ruth Holler; grandchildren, Allison Holler and Tyler Mullin; his sister-in-law, Jackie Young and many loving nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, May 8th, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 11:30 am. Interment will be private.
The family suggests contributions in Edd's memory to St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 4501 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19808.
