Edward was a United States Army Veteran. He worked as a skilled craftsman and especially enjoyed woodworking. His other hobbies included fishing and hunting.
Edward was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Ruh, and his parents, Sidney and Charles Ruh.
Survivors included his sister, Frances Ziegler (Bill) and sister in law, Lynn Ruh.
