Efrain Rodriguez

Efrain Rodriguez, age 86, of Newark, DE, formerly of The Bronx, NY, and Puerto Rico, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

Efrain worked as a boiler maker in New York and then in the maintenance department at J.P Morgan in Newark, DE. He was an active member at the Newark Senior Center for 20 years.

Efrain enjoyed Spanish food and Spanish music, especially Marc Anthony. He loved spending time with his family and was very social and a big joker.

Efrain is preceded in death by his parents, Andrea Pabellon and Antonio Rodriguez; son, Julio Rodriguez; and other family.

Survivors included his wife of 57 years, Zadia Rodriguez; sons, Efrain Rodriguez Jr. (Marisol) and William Rodriguez; daughter, Beth Mason (Greg); brothers, Jose Rodriguez and Rafal Rodriguez (Carmin); sisters, Delores Rodriguez, Maria (Juan) and Mercedes (Filipe); grandchildren, Daniel, Julio, Shelia, Natasha, Efrain, Nicholas, Melissa and William.

Services will be held at Noon on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 11:00 AM.
