Elda H. McGovern, age 86, of Dover, formerly of New Castle County, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
Elda worked for Delaware Trust Bank for many years. She was a former member of St. Matthew’s Church and a member of the Red Hat Society. Elda enjoyed sewing and would make baby clothing to donate.
Elda was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John J. McGovern in 2015.
Elda is survived by her children, Tina M. Feltcher and Richard L. McGovern; grandchildren, Meghan E. Wolfgang, Caitlin E. Feltcher, Michael J. Feltcher, Johnathan M. Feltcher and Jacqueline E. McGovern; great grandchildren, Amelia J. Woods, Liam M. Woods, Samantha E. Wolfgang, Hailey E. Feltcher and Harper M. Feltcher; sisters, Zena May Santore, Ethel Helen Piecara and Theresa May Santore; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, October 6, 2023 at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808.
